Mechanical record

Defined architecture.

The current concept emphasizes a leg-mounted structure without foot components and keeps actuation local to the knee region.

Primary structure
Thigh bar + calf bar per leg
Retention
Thigh and calf cuff system with mechanical release concept
Knee structure
Paired circular knee housings linked by a rigid bridge
Actuation
Two motors per leg, one on each side of the knee housing
User input
Manual pressure input intended to command and scale assistance
Safety concept
Mechanical stop + controlled assistance + user-directed activation
Power concept
Rechargeable electrical power source feeding controller and motor drivers
Architecture

Mechanical + control flow.

This is a schematic record of the design concept, not a dimensional CAD drawing or validated kinematic model.

Design priorities

Control before automation.

The concept is built around user-commanded assistance rather than automatic leg extension.

01

User-directed input

Assistance is intended to respond to deliberate manual input instead of autonomous extension.

02

Mechanical limits

Physical stops and constrained joint geometry are part of the safety architecture.

03

Compact packaging

Motors, knee housings, structure, wiring, and cuffs are arranged around the leg without a foot-mounted assembly.

Development record

Current work.

The public record separates the design architecture from any future measured performance.
